She had been jumping around from one time period to another, gathering data for her final thesis. Tegra had been having a hard time thinking of a good thesis question when it finally hit her. She wasn't sure her teachers would allow it because she would need to interfere, no, not interfere, but get involved with the study subjects in a way that is usually outside the rules of study. Living with and observing them is one thing, but influencing your study subjects is not recommended. She went to her teachers and to her surprise, she got permission to do her research the way she wished.
That is when the protests began. She started quietly, taking Fridays off to protest outside public offices, but before long, she was a world wide phenomena. She made speeches and attended rallies, all designed to draw attention to a crisis many humans didn't recognize. She knew that if they didn't take urgent measures, their world, the Earth, would become a place where humans couldn't survive. Tegra crossed the planet, speaking her truth which was THE truth, that the Earth was in peril. Many began to listen, and slowly, the humans did what was necessary to save their planet.
Tegra handed in her thesis and she got an A because of her unique question that, in the process of answering, helped solve a crisis on another world. The question was a simple one, asked by a young girl from another time and space, "Can one person make a difference?" I think we all know the answer.
