"Pizza Deadlivery" By Don Miles

It was my first pizza delivery at my new part time job in my new city. I had experience delivering pizzas and with GPS, the rest was easy. They told me the pizza was on account so not to worry about the bill. They seemed a bit strange about the delivery but I took the pie and headed out.
The address was a bit weird. It just said the corner of Chapman and Everett. As I neared the location, to my surprise it was a graveyard. The cemetery streets had names so I drove to the corner of Chapman and Everett. There I found a man standing near a headstone. The headstone read "Here Lies A True Hero....Mike Bishop....1969-2016" He seemed almost translucent as I approached him. He reached out a pale hand so I gave him the pizza and he gave me $5. He said in a slow, quiet voice , "Be careful out there..lots of crazies." I dropped the five dollar bill and when I bent down to pick it up I looked up and he was gone. I looked around and didn't see him anywhere....but when I looked back at the headstone it had something written on it that wasn't there before.....it said..."THANK YOU"
When I got back I was pretty shaken up. I wasn't sure they would believe me. I told them what happened. They didn't say a word but just looked at each other with knowing grins. They gave me $5 but I told them he had already tipped me. They said to look in my pocket. The $5 was gone. They said the man was a regular customer who was killed stopping a robber at the store a few years earlier. Now his ghost gets free pizza and delivery for eternity.
